What People are Saying!

Kevin Rundle

Judge Kiesel is a MAJOR asset to the Pierce County judiciary. Her Honor has decades of courtroom experience and it shows! Her Honor’s judicial temperament is calm, extremely professional, attentive, and most importantly, extremely respectful to all before her while, amazingly, maintaining control of the courtroom! Her knowledge of the law is without question and her rulings are clear, well thought out, and wrapped in reason. In addition to all the preceding comments, Judge Kiesel has not lost “Diana” since becoming a judge, and is the same person she was before donning the robe. I practice almost exclusively family law, and all of my clients report to me how impressed they were with Judge Kiesel and how they felt respected while, at the same time, reporting that they feel they got their day in court. What more could you ask from a judge! Again, Judge Kiesel is a tremendous asset to the Bench, and Pierce County needs her!

I endorse Judge Kiesel’s reelection because she was a wise, fair and impartial judge when she oversaw the Dependency Court. Hopefully, her reelection will enable her to oversee Dependency Court again, in which families would, again, highly benefit from her rulings, and other parties as well.

I renew my endorsement of a judicial officer I have found to be fair, personable and dedicated. Judge Kiesel truly embodies the best qualities of a good Judge and is beyond “highly qualified.”

Judge Diana Kiesel brings clarity to her role as judge, often due to her lived experiences as a family law attorney and as a volunteer mediator. She knows that often the people who have a relationship need to be involved in the resolution of their disputes. As a judge she nudges and encourages parties to find their best solution. She has been a powerful partner and supporter of the work done at the Center for Dialog & Resolution.

It is with great honor to endorse Judge Diana Kiesel. She was my mentor right after graduating high school and I am now 36 years old. Without her influence of extreme morals, humility, and integrity, I would not be where I am today. She helped build and strengthen my critical thinking and decision making skills when I worked for her, which ultimately resulted in owning my own successful business. She is the role model every young adult needs in their life. She is extremely hard working and extraordinarily creative in how she handles situations / cases. And while her law practice was fast paced and busy, she was always so well prepared and ready to go for every single client. She treated everyone with respect, including opposing counsel. She put together CLEs and always stressed the importance of supporting our legal community. She is and will continue to be a highly qualified Superior Court Judge.

I have practiced law for 27 years and have appeared before numerous judicial officers in nine counties. Additionally, I have collaborated with many judicial officers on various work groups, boards, and committees. I have yet to encounter a judge who works harder and invests more time in their work than Judge Diana Kiesel. Her outstanding commitment to preparation and passion for fairness make her an exceptional judge. I strongly endorse Judge Diana Kiesel for re-election.

I was fortunate to work for, and be mentored by, Judge Kiesel for the first 10 years of my career. I saw her knowledge, skill, and integrity every day as she tirelessly represented her clients, and that dedication continued when she served as a Pierce County Court Commissioner for 10 years and then as Judge for the last 4 years. Judge Kiesel has the experience, knowledge, temperament, and dedication to serve the citizens of Pierce County. I highly endorse Judge Kiesel for another term as a Pierce County Superior Court Judge.

Pierce County is fortunate to have a jurist of Judge Kiesel’s caliber. She is a compassionate, even tempered, well-reasoned steward of the rule of law.
